It basically all about you solving problems in a room using the new portal gun which can effectively make portals on any flat surface causing a lot of fun.
Chances are we'll see the portal gun in HL:Ep3 which will be fantastic, the gun is fine and dandy in an experimental setting but i'll like to see it's affect in, for want of a better word, "real life" ability to muck around with the game would be vastly increased. However as Gordon can't survive such high drops it'll involve a lot of deaths

I loved Portal. I just wish there would've been more levels. The humor to the game was classic. Have you tried the advanced settings for the levels yet?

I couldn't imagine you having the ability of the Portal gun in all its glory for more than one level in a Half-Life game. UNLESS the entire structure of Half-Life 3 is changed (I say 3 and not E3 cause well, E3 should finish HL2 normally) and put in more suitable environments...I can't imagine the huge world type levels found in HL2 would be as challenging with that or as accessibly easy to create.

Yeah red i've completed 4 of the advanced missions, got stuck on two.
And you say that Seth but Half Life 2: Portal (the mod) it seems to work really well, adding more strategy. Of course the portals don't work on a lot of the surfaces so it's not like you can cheat an awful lot. they would have to be very careful though.

Just more reason to really really want the Orange Box. I think I might push Crysis back a week or so in order to get the Orange Box within the next 2 weeks.

I question the valve of getting Orange box if you've already got Half 2 + Ep 1. Sure Ep2 is great and portal is a fun game but is it really worth it. and i don't like TF2

Well HL2 and Ep1 are only worth like $30 alone. I'd buy Episode Two and Portal on Steam alone, but it'd be $50 and I might as well check out TF2 for that price. So the Orange Box it is.

I wish they released the original Black Box that was planned with just TF2, Portal and Episode Two, but they dropped it. Very lame. And yeah, I'm with you...Episode Three better just come out alone.
