Nope but I heard it was a very good movie, a mixture of Sci-fi, action and political commentary.

Quite frankly I'm just shocked Peter Jackson has managed to make a good movie that's not LoTR.

^^ Definitely. I'd even add "The Frightening" to that list.

Oh, totally. If I made a list of the most underrated movies of all time, The Frighteners would be on it. What an awesome movie.

He was the Executive Producer of it. While not primarily not involved in the visual aspect, he did develop it and I'm sure helped with the story.

Didn't he? Oh well.

And I saw Braindead, it was alright. Done what it set to achieve but it's not going to be in any top 10 lists is it?

It's not up there in my top 10 list, but I still love the movie.

I remember Dead Alive. The one with the rat-monkey and the lawnmower at the end, right. Blood was completely fake, but a fun movie none the less. You should check out "Zombies of Mass Distruction". As for District 9, I wanted to see it, but was taking my friend to go and see the Wizard of Oz instead, as she had never seen it and really really wanted to. So this past year, when they went to show the anniversary of the Wizard of Oz at the theater, I took her to it, and when the film started, it was District 9 instead. We were like hey, wait, this isn't the Wizard of Oz, but we stayed and watched District 9 anyways, and enjoyed it, as I could show her the Wizard of Oz on dvd anyways. Afterwards, we asked the box office about what happened with the Wizard of Oz, and then the manager came and said that they decided to show it in the next month instead, and since we had tickets to the Wizard of Oz, and had the right day and time, and theater room, and they showed the wrong movie on their own, they went ahead and gave us new tickets for free to see the Wizard of Oz. So technically, since we bought tickets to see the Wizard of Oz anyways, we basically got to watch District 9 for free. So that was cool. Good movie. We really enjoyed it.
